Best Transmitter for Airplane Travel A+++++
I have a Bose QC35 II. Unlike some people who had trouble connecting, if you follow the instruction carefully, you should have no trouble setting it up. This is by far the best transmitter on the market for airplane. The ability to fold the pins are absolutely awesome. I used several other transmitter before I bought this, although they had longer battery life, it is nearly impossible for a fellow passengers not to bump into the transmitter when they try to get out of their seats. This transmitter lays flat against the audio input jack so that it doesn't stick out. BTW, the first unit I ordered from Amazon had a piece of clay in it. Someone stole the transmitter and replace it with a piece of clay. That got me so mad that I nearly didn't bother to reorder the item. I am so glad that I gave it another chance. Buy this transmitter and you won't regret it.

Junk disguised as hi-tech transmitter
Stay away from this item. I don't think Amazon sell it anymore, and probably for the best because this item is awful! I missed the window to return it because i purchased this for an overseas trip, but my trip cancelled and rescheduled and now I'm stuck with this item. The latency is the worst thing about this item. Once it connected, the sound was so off sync that it was annoying. I disconnected and connected a few times but that didn't fix the problem. Then the thing stopped pairing all together! I must've spent 30 minutes fidgeting with this thing until i finally gave up. Don't let the hi-tech look fool you. This is a piece of junk. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Great device
I travel quite a bit and usually have taken two sets of headphones with me, a wired headset and the Apple Airpods v2. Tried these on my latest trip with the AA inflight entertainment system and I was extremely surprised by the sound quality versus a wired headset. I can finally leave the wired set at home. Battery life was excellent as I did not charge the device after using it during the entire duration of the 2 hour flight out and the 2 hour flight back. Very happy with the purchase and the rest of my family will probably want one when they travel.

No left channel with the two prong airplace jack
The transmitter is small and fits nicely into the carrying pouch comes with my QC35. I try it with my PC and somehow I feel the sound quality is even better than the direct connect. I can just one press and switch the connection between my phone and my computer which is very convenient. Definitely recommend it.Updated 8/9/19Just back from a oversea flight from Asia and what a disappoint. The transmitter only product sound to the right channel and I feel I waste my money.

A small mighty inflight transmitter
I bought this transmitter to pair with my blue tooth earplug so that I don’t need to use the bulky wired headphone during prolonged flight that is usually 12-14 hours. The transmitter worked as expected. Very easy to Use. Due to its small size, I suggest you pair the transmitter with your device before the flight. Make sure your device is fully charged. During my flight, I never experienced any signal loss. For my first time use, it last three movies. Pretty convenient. Highly recommended.

Works well with the Bolle & Raven Wireless Bluetooth Adapter for Bose QC15 Headphones
Because I asked several questions about compatibility of this transmitter with the B&R Wireless Bluetooth Adapter for Bose QC15 Headphones (search B072YS4S8H in Amazon for that unit), I wanted to assure potential users that I acquired both and the two units are definitely very compatible. Establishing connectivity between the B&R unit and this IDARS airplane transmitter is very simple, and the sound quality is excellent. I have not had the unit long enough to test the battery charge life, but have no reason to doubt it will be sufficient. Once connected, the reconnect process was even easier. Unless battery issues arise, this is definitely worth the 5 stars.

Highly recommend for not-so-frequent flyers
Amazing product and definitely made my flights more enjoyable. I always take the aisle seat I fly and when my neighbour wants to go to the restroom I had to unplug my headphones, gather my blanket, stand up, get back in my seat and plug in, then repeat the whole thing when he/she comes back. I love the ability to go wireless with this device.Thumbs down however are the battery life and the bluetooth pairing. If the audio jack is beside a USB port then I’ll keep it charging while using it, if not then it lasts about 3hours. The pairing was not the easiest as well and I usually have to try several times before I succeed.Overall, I would still recommend this product. It is small enough to keep it in your bag without adding bulk. Price is super affordable - because I don’t fly often I do not require a super high end one, just one that works as it say it would will do. Lastly, WIRELESS CONVENIENCE!

Easy to use, great addition to travel accessories.
I fly a lot. I've used this on several flights and it has worked great. I use it with noise cancelling headphones and now I don't have a wire strung out in front of me on the plane. Sound quality is great and there is no interference, that I've experienced, from other devices around me. One note, you might have to explain what the device is to the flight attendant if they aren't familiar with it.
