A fantastic book! Full of practical information. There are very few books on RF design that compare to it. Loaded with real tested circuits that can be built and used. A must have the serious QRP homebrew enthusiast.

Just starting what will take months of hands on learning

Hard to find. Very useful reference book for the Radio Amateur. Price a little steep, but worth it, as they are getting scarcer every day.

I've been looking for this book at a reasonable price for several years. It's the best book around for the amateur radio home-brewer.

The two books by Wes Hayward are the best introduction to solid state rf design. This one is the less technical and more practical of the two. I cannot understand why the ARRL doesn't reprint it.
