I’m thrilled to have this steamer!! I always make Chinese rice cake, carrot cake and yam cake for my big family and friends for CNY celebration, in the past I use my oven with a tray of water to steam but it takes so much longer (almost double) to steam and it is very drying so the texture is not exactly right. Whereas with this BIG steamer I can make my cakes perfectly! SUPER Bouncy and moist!It is very easy to use, fill up the water to the top and turn on the timer, the steam rises up in a few second and start cooking. It cooks much faster than the oven and my cake remain moist, it took me 60 mins to steam a rice cake and yam cake, and 35 mins for carrot cake. And I can cook 2 portions of the cake at the same time because the steam tray is so big!For 1 hour cooking, I need to refill water from the sides at around 45 mins if not it will stop cooking as the water level drops below minimum, the manual says it is to prevent overheating. I feel safe to have this feature especially when I need to cook for so long, there is always a risk in burning and I really don’t want to ruin my batch of cake! And all the parts can be separated and wash in the dishwasher.

This steamer is huge. I knew that before ordering obviously but I was still surprised by its size.It works well although my carrots needed longer to cook than stated. But with any new product there’s an adjustment period. We’ll soon get used to each other.It has two burners so it cooks evenly.My only issue and it’s not really an issue as such since it’s the same all electric steamers. It’s just worse with this one since it’s so big.I used this for veg for one meal for the family. The tray (which they refer to as the juicy collect tray) was full. It was so full we couldn’t pick it up to empty. We had to tip it so a lot of it ran into the bottom. This was awkward and a two person job. It may have been easier if we’d left it to cool but my kitchen isn’t that big and I needed the room. Next time I’ll have to empty this half way through cooking which isn’t ideal but if I do more veg it wouldn’t cope anyway.Why I bought this particular steamer.Years ago I had an electric steamer and I was very happy with it until the small plastic tabs on the side of each basket broke off. This made the steamer useless.This is apparently a common problem. I decided then I wouldn’t buy another electric steamer until I could find a better design.So for the past several years I’ve been using a stainless steel stove top one. My sons just moved out and so I gave him my steamer.Time to look for a new one. I wanted an electric one and this was the only one I could find that was white with clear baskets and didn’t have the silly little tabs. Plus I quite fancied a large steamer.Did I actually need a steamer this big?No.Although it will be handy when I have all the family round.

Good purchaseExcellent product! Good for a family meal as it can hold bigger dishes which makes it very useful to steam fish. It is simple looking, sturdy, very strong steam and convenient, I use it every day since I receive it 1 month ago. I am very happy to have it, all parts are easy to clean, easy to assemble, works well every time, highly recommend if you have a big kitchen. I also bought another one for my friend’s restaurant to make Chinese dessert like a rice cake, it works perfectly for them too!

I bought this steamer to steam my silk paintings and it does the job brilliantly. The steaming area is large enough to do large paintings and scarves. It’s perfect that the water doesn’t drip meaning that the silk steams perfectly every time.

Fantastic sized steamer and really large enough for all the vegetables for a family meal. My only issue was the removable tray warped slightly on first use and the top tier ended up falling into the bottom. If the steamer hadn’t ideal for my needs I would have sent it back. The unit is really easy to clean and maintain.

Just done a full 2Kg of large chicken thighs in a single basket with room to spare ...... I'm now looking at cooking up a whole batch of chicken breast, salad potatoes, broad beans, and other odds and ends, to chill down in the fridge, ready for when I want to take out a salad bowl picnic, when I go out for a wander in the hills ...... The cooking times are no less than that of a smaller steamer, but you've just got so much more room to spread everything about ...... I've got two rice bowls (Including one that I kept back from my previous steamer) ...... And in those I can do a meat and six veg quite comfortably in a single basket ...... Best investment I've made in years ......

This is a great product easy to use and clean. Can cook most any thing quick and east would most definatly recommend
