The hardest part of the whole process- removing my string silencer puff balls!
I bought these finger savers to compliment my Mandarin Duck Phantom recurve outfitted for bowfishing. I removed the string from my bow, put the supplied cotter pin on the end of my string, lubed everything up with bow string wax, pushed the finger savers over the cotter pin, and then I clamped the exposed end of the cotter pin in my vise (you could just as easily grab the tip of the cotter pin with a set of pliers). I grabbed the finger saver and pulled; it slid right on. Since I had a brass nocking point installed, I had to duplicate the process on the other end.Two points, make sure you are putting the finger saver on right side up, so flat side on first (if you have a nocking point installed)! And then make sure you are putting the proper length finger saver on the right side of the string- well depending on how you shoot. I shoot index finger above the nock and middle and ring finger below so my short saver is on top and the longer one is on the bottom. I goofed on both points but they are easy to remove if you lubed everything with bowstring wax.FYI, the bowstring has a top and bottom; typically the bottom is the smaller loop and the top is the larger. When you unstring it, you take the top loose and slide it down the limb whereas the bottom loop stays in place (for the most part- it can be knocked free if not careful). These FlyArchery Archery Bowstring Finger Savers are economical, rugged, comfy, and again, easy to install. Works, convenient, comfy.
Make sure you have some pliers so you can grab the threader firmly while getting these on. Pulling them past the string loop is the most difficult part. After that you can adjust them by hand.Cheaper and more convenient than a set of nocks and an archery glove, I just hope it holds up to regular use... not that it would be expensive to replace every 1000 shots or so.

Standard equipment
I use these on all of my recurves and longbows. Very easy on fingers. Simple to install though a little effort may be needed.

Good Stuff. Exactly as described. Purchased to replace other "finger savers" that were much smaller than expected.
