Woolx Men's Switchback Midweight Merino Wool Hooded Sweatshirt , Black, X-Large

I don’t often post reviews - it takes a really great item (or possibly a really bad one) for me to write something about it, but the reviews of this pullover hoody are what encouraged me to buy it and I want to pay it forward.The weight is perfect for evenings in California. I’ve had some weight to lose and I’ve been walking late at night in my neighborhood with 55 degree nights, starting to move now to jogging and getting my endurance and speed back up. That means a chilly sweat on the body. This pullover keeps my body temp regulated perfectly - not so hot that I want to peel it off but handles the sweat like a champ. My wife washed it with the regular load (I had planned on washing cold and hang drying). I panicked because I was afraid it would shrink, but it’s held it’s form and size perfectly. It never gets much below 50 (maybe upper 40s) here on the central coast of California and I think this is going to be perfect workout gear for my evening runs.I have also work it out a few times for a California casual dinner and it goes well for that too. It looks great, the fabric is comfortable (maybe slightly slightly scratchy - I took off a wet cotton t-shirt and tried to put this on without a shirt after a run and it wasn’t comfortable on the more sensitive skin although it’s fine on bare arms.All in all this is worth every penny of the $100 price tag. You won’t be disappointed at all.

I purchased this very well made pullover as a secondary/base layer for hunting (Crossbow) Elk in the High Country of Wyoming. Wool is extremely efficient in wicking away moisture from the body (cotton kills as most who spend time in the cold country) This is Very nicely fitted, High Quality materials and craftsmanship. It has the "Look" of Very High Style for wearing in a semi formal setting, or just hanging around a ski lodge fireplace- I will enjoy the warmth that wool has even when wet. I bought this for my husband and he loves it. He couldn’t get over how warm And soft it was. He couldn’t believe it was wool and not scratch.. Feels like a polo shirt. Only thing he doesn’t like about it, no breast pocket.

I bought this shirt for my son after he requested a merino wool hoodie. Once he tried it on he was thrilled with the softness, warmth, fit, and loved that it is lightweight. It will be perfect for working outside in cold weather, or enjoying fun outdoor winter activities with his family.

Looks good and feels comfortable. It is very soft and great for cuddling.

Better than I had hoped! Strangely cool for thin black wool in the sun at 77°F. Amazing insulation. I was worried the medium would be tight, but it fits perfectly (5' 9" at 170 lbs).

I already own a few Merino wool clothing items ranging from underwear, sweat shirts to even full jackets. I also already own a few items from the brand WoolX and I have never been disappointed.I like merino wool because it is warm, resistant and it has the virtue to neutralize body odors relatively well. When on hikes, it is especially useful because one does sweat a lot and we do not always get the opportunity to wash as often as wanted.I mentioned the warmth but merino wool also has the property to remain warm even when wet (I believe most wool clothing do have that property)This hoodie is especially light when compared to other hoodies I have. It does not have the thumb slit in the sleeves but it has a small zipper pocket on the left arm, at biceps level.I wore it outdoors recently on a brisk walk under drizzling rain and the hoodie kept my head warm and dry. I only had the hoodie on with a light rain jacket (no hoodie) and I felt very good. I could get sometimes hot after a while but not this time, I felt perfectly tempered.I would recommend this hoodie for people who want to remain warm while do not want to have any heavy clothing items on. You could also wear it under other clothing items to be able to remove each at a time when you are getting hot. I would keep this one to be removed last.5 stars!
