I don't want to disturb my neighbors, but need the shaker option. Thanks!** A: Yes! Use the shaker and flashing lights. The lights wake me up just before the shaker goes off. I'm so hard of hearing ( the reason I bought this ) that I don't hear the alarm, but everybody in the house does. **Q: Will the shaker work effectively with a SleepNumber or other similar air mattress?** A: I bought this for my 16 year old son who sleeps 'like the dead'. I had SO much trouble getting him up for school and/or work. He actually doesn't put the 'shaker' part under his pillow or mattress....he lets it dangle down the nightstand. It causes suck a ruckus clanking and rattling against the night stand I can hear it from the other end of the house! It has worked for him 100%. He's up every morning, without fail. And he had a summer job that started at 7am......he wasn't late even once! **Q: does it have two alarms?** A: Sadly, the one disappointment in this clock is that although there are two alarm options, they both have to be set to the same MODE. (To select the wake up mode, slide the “Alarm Mode Switch“ to your desired position: a) “BUZZ“ for sound b) “VIB“ for bed shaker c) “VIB/ BUZZ“ for both sound and bed shaker NOTE: once the wake up mode is chosen, this will apply to both alarms.) We feel that being able to have the vibrating as an initial wake up and a loud buzz as the second, would be very useful, but not possible on this model. **Q: Is the vibrating disc connected to the clock unit? You dont really require sound. Vibrator is sufficient to wake you up. Simply place the vibrator under your pillow or mattress and sleep. It gives earthquake effect in the morning.6. Various customisations are provided like you can set either vibrator or sound or both. Set snooze interval. LED display brightness control.7. Its runs on AC power. Alternatively you can purchase 9 volt alkaline battery along with its charger and once fully charged battery lasts upto 4 to 6 months.Drawbacks1. Can not turn off red LED display2. The watch gets hard reset when unplugged from power source. ie all your settings are lost.3. 9 volt alkaline battery is not provided. It is to be bought separately.Did not find any serious drawback.
