When buying new type of CO detectors, it is nice to know if they actually work, and intentional producing of CO in necessary quantities at home is not easy. This is a relatively cheap source of the testing gas. The idea of the kit is that you place the detector into the oversized clear box (see photo) and push CO in via the supplied straw inserted into the can. The problem is funny - the straw does not fit the can. For testing I had to resort to the traditional way and used a Ziploc bag, placed both the detector and the can inside it and pushed the valve through the bag.

There was not enough carbon monoxide in the can to properly test my detector.
