There’s a hole in the tile Dear Eliza!
Perfect drills for nice clean holes in slate tile. Moderate pressure is best to avoid killing the bit and getting the holes you want. Each bit lasted for approximately 30 holes each. All the stainless stand-off numbers required 12 holes a set and this material is REALLY HARD. see photos for the completed project.

Needs a punch-out tool to go with it,
got the job done, but It really requires the corresponding "punch out" tool to force the plug of ceramic out the center of the hollow bit, otherwise you can only drill a quarter inch before the bit is plugged and can't advance any more.

Cuts like a hot knife through butter
I was attempting to install a hand rail in my shower which required six holes. I purchased a carbide tipped drill bit which was advertised as specifically for drilling through ceramic tile. After 45 minutes of trying, I ended up with one barely perceptible dimple in the tile. I did some more research and came upon these diamond encrusted bits. Long story short after less than ten minutes I had the six holes drilled and the hand rail securely attached to my shower wall.

high quality!
Bought these bits to drill through my newly remodeled bathroom tile so I could install fancy glass doors. These bits are so much better than the bits I bought at the big box store. I remodeled both bathrooms this year, and installed glass doors on both. On the first shower, I bought a bit from the blue store. I got about 3 or 4 holes drilled before the bit was toast. Went to the orange store and got a different brand, but still only 3 or 4 holes. Oh, and I cracked 2 tiles with those bits. So I went looking for a better bit when it came to the 2nd shower. Got 12 holes drilled with one bit and no cracks. These bits are easier to get a hole started using a slight angle than the other bits I used, and last 5 times as long. Very good quality...don't waste your money on those bits at the big box stores.

Great drill bit performance
I used this drill bit to drill four 1/4" holes in my shower wall ceramic tiles to mount a safety grab bar. This drill bit drilled 1 hole in the tile in about 15 seconds. It did not damage the tile. (no chipping no cracking). The drill bit did not overheat. It performed much better than I expected.

for rough jobs
I like that these bits can grind without water or lube. I use them only lightly, but I'm pleased that they grind glass quickly seem to last. They don't say but maybe 50 grit? You'll definitely need some higher grits if you want a smooth finish. Good for gouging.

It worked OK.
It was too small for what I wanted it to do. But it did work OK. A lot of work!!

Great set of bits that actually work.
Used these diamond bits to drill holes on granite slab to mount a mounting bracket for a overhead microwave. Went through with ease and got the job done without damaging or cracking the backsplash slab.

They work!
After trying a different brand and a Mastercraft bit from Canadian Tire, these ones performed beautifully! No issues at all drilling through porcelain. Highly recommended. Don't waste your time trying anything else.

So so
Used two to drill through the surface of normal porcelain tile.Incredibly slow.Used water and slow speed.Finished of the carbide masonry bit.Only really good for starting the hole.
