i love the Hollies. unfortunately my CD player is so old (approx 30 years) it cannot read the modern language most CD's are recorded on. i actually ordered 6 CD's but can only play one. not your fault, technology just keeps advancing.i have to highly commend the service. all items arrived well before the suggested dates & the prices were very reasonable. keep up the good work.

Great songs, wonderful pop song production, beautiful harmonies. I just bought this CD, and at 52 years old, I'm embarassed to say that I didn't know just how good The Hollies were. Certainly very near the equal of the Beatles, before they got all "important". This collection has all the classic "first Hollies" songs, before G. Nash left and they went all MOR in the very late sixties/early seventies - which is exactly what I wanted. That means no "Long Cool Woman" or "He Ain't Heavy". If you favor those songs, you need another collection. My one regret is that "King Midas in Reverse" is not on this CD. Can I subtract a quarter star for that? Now I have to buy the King Midas reissue as well - which I'm sure I won't regret.

There may be more comprehensive collections for the type of listener who wants B-sides, alternate takes, and the like, but this compilation is quite satisfactory for me, a casual Hollies fan, since it covers all of the the Hollies' 1960s hits. More importantly, it also seems to be the only collection, comprehensive or otherwise, that includes my favorite Hollies song, "I Can't Let Go." Ten tracks may not seem like a lot, but the price is also on the low side, so it's not an egregious rip-off.

Under-rated '60's British band. Great high-harmonies, unique melodies.

This "The Best of the Hollies" has brought back a lot of memories. the sound is wonderful and the chosen songs great. A good purchase for any Hollies fan.

Just got this yesterday and looking forward to listening to it. I really love The Hollies.

I bought this as a 'Used And New' title for the princely sum of 1 pence plus postage, just to get the single edit of their version of the Nils Lofgren song, 'Shine Silently'. Anyway, the hits are all here, they sound as great as ever, but like I said, there can't be many music fans of the era who haven't already got 'em.

I really enjoyed this cd. It had both standard tacks and tracks that you don't find on most compilation discs by the Hollies. They were a most underated group and they came up with some of the most amazing sounds of the 60's. If you want to dip your toes in the Hollies then I highly recommend this disc.
