These changed my life!
I'm 51. I had tiredness issues for over 20 years, as well as joint pains, headaches, stomach and gut issues, low immunity to viruses, and brain fog, all getting worse over time. Regular blood tests came back normal. These symptoms were in fact synonymous with ME (chronic fatigue) and Fibromyalgia, although I was never diagnosed with them. Then with the help of a medical friend I found out that the symptoms also tied in perfectly with vitamin B12 deficiency. I decided to give B12 patches a go, using one every other day, and was amazed to find my symptoms started to improve dramatically within days. I had loads more energy, the brain fog was gone, my joint pains and headaches gradually disappeared, and my stomach issues improved so much over a few weeks that I was able to come off lansoprazole (which, incidentally, inhibits B12 absorption and had made the symptoms even worse while I was on them). I'm also much more resistant to viruses, have an improved sense of taste, and my skin is softer. I could hardly believe the change! I've discovered since then that my B12 levels had been tested but were considered 'normal' (before I tried the patches). They stood at 272ng/L, and anything over 150ng/L is considered normal. These guidelines are clearly wrong. It seems that the normal level should be closer to 450ng/L, and even much higher depending on age. How many people are suffering with ME, MS, Fibro, depression, dementia, strokes and other issues due to a simple vitamin deficiency?I now use a patch every other day and a sublingual tablet on the days in between. I wear the patch on my chest just above my bra, and make sure to put it on after my shower, as water can make it soggy and liable to come off. I'd highly recommend trying them, as they can't do any harm; B12 cannot be overdosed on. Many of my friends and family have tried them and seen a difference - some more dramatic than others, but it's worth a try. Also, friends who have B12 injections find that they're not able to get them often enough, so this is a good way to 'top up' in between the jabs to keep up the energy levels.
