Product Description Exploding the myth of angels by the bedside, No Angels is an upbeat expose of nursing in the modern NHS in which the girls face life, death and lunacy on the wards of St Margarets. Every night they let off steam, with a dangerous appetite for uncomplicated sex and misbehaviour - and if the drugs dont work, its probably because the junior doctors taken them. Anji and Beth are the babies of the gang. Anji may be set on an arranged marriage, and sex-kitten Beth has yet to meet the rich consultant of her dreams, but thats not going to stop them hunting down any other man they fancy in the meantime. And what they want, they usually get. Single mum Lia is sharp-tongued and funny. Having mastered the art of sympathetic detachment, shes a great nurse but a lousy mother. Lovely Kate is the acting sister; Shed cope better with the sexual politics if she remembered the first rule of nursing: doctors are the enemy. But Kate falls for them instead ! Nurses having fun
No Angels is a sitcom/comedy about a group of four female nurses who live and work together. The hospital scenes have little to do with medicine and focus on practical procedures such as bathing an obese patient and cleaning false teeth and returning the wrong sets to the patients. The nurses and other staff have a surprising amount of time for each other as they are either having chats in a store/utility room or agreeing to dates with people including management. At home the nurses are either getting ready to go on a night out or standing at the foot of the stairs listening to one of the girls having noisy sex and trying to work out which singer she sounds like. As the series progresses the nurses backgrounds are revealed, Such as Anji who is due to be married but insists on dating and sleeping with other men until that day. Lia is divorced and a mother to a tweenage daughter. I brought this DVD as I liked watching it when it was on TV but I did not manage to watch all the episodes back then. The best part of the series is when they at home and receive a delivery of sex toys at the same moment Lia's daughter visits which results in a lot of red faces and laughter.

very funny if you have a dark sense of humour.
I absolutely love this program! Granted it wont be everybody's cup of tea as it contains strong language, inappropriate behaviour etc etc. Personally I love it. I work in a hospital and totally 'get' it. If you have a sense of humour youll like it. If you are easily offended don't bother

Simply superb.
Brilliant series. Worth every penny. It will have you in tears with laughter. Though you may get a little worried if you have a hospital stay coming up.Has to be the most underrated programs made. Now go and get the next two series and enjoy.

Love it! Love it!
Watched this when it was on tv a few years ago and its great. The characters are brilliant and the stories are both funny and sad and totally believable!I even started watching eastenders just because Jo Joyner (Beth) is now in it starring as Tanya Branning.A brilliant series - just wish there were more series!

Brilliant!
I love the whole series. It is still just as funny as it was in 2004.The ups and downs of the four girls' lives and rivalries with the doctors is hilarious. Angie is so likeable and funny. I am happy to watch this over and over again. It's a keeper. :)
