Its Lush! It's heat tolerant, its edible.
After two years I love this plant: It grows when it's too hot for other brassicas: early summer in the South-East! You can plant seed it in Fall, too (will overwinter well when mild, at least zone 8 and warmer). Efficient: Only few seeds needed - very good cover: in good conditions its diameter can be 2 feet or more; it's quite beautifully lush. Seeds keep viability well (2 years now).More than green cover: YOU CAN EAT IT! The leaves are pungent but juicy, great when added to salad to pep it up (with lettuce, tomato, cucumber). When it's young, chickens will devour it (and still nibble on it when older, anyway). The blooms help bridging the summer dearth for bees (when seeded in mid Spring in zone 8, when you have enough space).Grows on poor soil (bare, compressed, but stays thin), but exceeded my expectations on rich soil ("That cabbage, kale?").

All my seeds germinated and I'm waiting to put them in some pot
They came on time. They germinated. I'm just waiting a little longer for I can put them outside. The owner was very nice.
