Melanie BarseMelanie Barse began her adventures in jewelry in her native Fort Worth, Texas, with a small gift store run with her mother, Nancy Barse Moore. Melanie’s natural ability to speak languages led her travels to Mexico, where she was one of the first people to begin importing sterling into the U.S. from Taxco, Mexico. As a twenty-something, Melanie would scout the best pieces and bring them back to sell at the store. But Melanie didn’t stop there. She knew she could sell her expertly culled pieces to others, so she partnered with her husband, Michael Gobril, to form Barse Jewelry. The name Barse is an artistic legacy. Melanie’s great uncle, George Randolph Barse, is a renowned American artist whose work is displayed throughout the nation, including the Library of Congress.Melanie’s intrepid style and eye for jewelry led her to begin importing world-round, and the business grew to be a successful global import company. Soon, her energetic travels led to Asia, where she discovered the rich culture and opportunities in beautiful Thailand. She quickly adapted to the Thai language and saw the opportunity to create a factory where she could design and produce her own trend-driven pieces. Her Thailand factory now employs more than 250 people; most are skilled artisans, expert lapidaries, and master mold carvers who have been with her for years. Melanie often works with miners to cull opaque stones that are cut specifically for Barse designs, further distinguishing her pieces from designers who use pre-cut stones. Melanie’s factory also utilizes the age-old practice of lost-wax casting, allowing for the rich, flawless details found in Barse jewelry. It is rare in today’s jewelry market to find a designer that does not use “stamped out” methods of production, and the quality shows in Barse Jewelry. The designs that Melanie’s factory produces come from the team she leads in Dallas. Her product development and design teams are on the forefront of fashion and trends for each season. Trend meetings, runway shows, and frequent visits to fashion meccas like New York and Paris are all on Melanie’s plate. The Barse BrandBarse Jewelry includes designer sterling silver, bronze, copper, and silver overlay with a focus on opaque stones, especially through custom cuts and placements. Every piece designed bears an unusual detail, revealing the special touch Barse fans love. With Melanie leading her design team, and her own factory, she can bring her fresh collections to life, with uncommon usage of stones, custom cuts, and placements that create a look like no other.

Ring with a Statement
This ring has nothing to do with the previous Barse "Village" ring I received, commented on the poor quality - and returned. The "Jubilee" is big, it is large, it does look overwhelming if you compare it to a fine ring or a standard one, but that's the mistake - do not compare, because if you want a ring that stands out, this one makes a real good statement! The stone is beautiful turquoise color, not stabilised turquoise, a true turquoise. The metal is brass (not alloy) and is exquisite, it gives a 'baroque' look. Should be worn by itself to give the statement it deserves. Although I went for the smallest ring size (6) it is loose on my skinny ring finger, yet I know this will become one of my favourite statement rings, so will find a solution to make it fit. Thank you for shipping it before Xmas!

Bold and beautiful❤❤❤❤❤
Really lovely ring! It's large so don't buy it unless you like big, statement rings. It's made well, heavy, and the perfect color. Mine is a bit lighter, like a sky blue turquoise color. It's amazing, and I already received many compliments on it. A huge must for turquoise collectors! ❤💍

The turquoise, the stone is lovely and huge.
The media could not be loaded. This is a statement ring when you want to make a statement. The band is made of strong copper which goes well with gold. The ornamentation on the band is beautiful. If you love large rings this is a must-have.🥰

Bold piece of jewelry - great value
This is a tricky ring. Like the other reviewers the stone is much bluer than depicted in the picture. In fact, I have real turquoise earrings, they do not match this ring - as real turquoise tends to have an aqua greenish color. That said, the stone is polished, a pretty blue. It does contain an obvious flaw, but the flaw makes the ring look more authentic. The band itself is also more "golden" than depicted in the picture. The picture looks like a "silver bronze." It is a gold bronze, in reality. It is a huge ring. The issue is not the length - it is width. The width of the ring - makes it larger than one normally finds in statement rings.I was on the fence, until I put on another pair of turquoise earrings that I have. These earrings are simulated, therefore they are bluer in color like the ring. Then I was sold.It was such nice pop of color with my white pants and orange top. The large Barse blue turquoise ring with my blue turquoise earrings made the entire outfit look really interesting and chic.Again, if you don't like large, wide rings - not for you. But if you want a fun statement piece - this is a great value!

Beautiful!
It is a bit large so for a small hand may not be the best. But I love large rings and this is really beautiful. The setting is a bronzed antique deco. The stone itself: I am not sure it is actually real stone may be a poly composition. In any case it is a nice show piece.

Just......wow....it's super cool :)
Oh my gosh this ring is gorgeous!!! It's exactly what I wanted and everything I hoped it would be and more--the veining and coloring of the one I received is even prettier than the picture, it is just prettier in general than the picture, it arrived quickly and well packaged, even my boyfriend was like wow, that's a cool ring. It is big--it's about 1.25 inches tall by about an inch wide so if that's too big for you then you wouldn't like this ring. But I was looking for a large turquoise statement ring and that's exactly what I got and for a great price, I couldn't be happier :)

Hmmm...
I own two other Barse turquoise rings, the Sanibel metal matrix and the Basic scroll and I love them both. This one I'm on the fence about. Unlike the other two rings whose stones were just as pictured; this one is almost monotone in it's shading and I feel it lacks some of the character I love turquoise for and a ring this large (and it is LARGE) almost calls for to break up all that blue. I've ordered two now, hoping one would look more like the stone depicted here but both were nearly identical and lacking that beautiful mottling. The metal work, however, is gorgeous and it does run true to size.

So pretty!
The ring size I chose is exactly what I wanted for my middle finger. The color of the bronze and the stone is just perfect! It even looks prettier than how it shows in the picture. I’m so happy with my purchase!UPDATE:The last two pictures are taken after 1 year. The color is still very pretty in person. It’s still one of my favorite boho rings! So happy with my purchase.

Five Stars
It is a very nice ring with a big oversize turquoise stone, but still very cute.

Nice big stone
The ring is big. Perhaps it would be better if it was slightly smaller. However it is solid, excellent construction and it fits very well. It has a nice finish and the colour is fantastic.
