Open Country Aluminum Jerky Gun with Tips - 3 Spice & Cures

I bought this gun before reading the one star review. After reading the review I was skeptical of the build, but after receiving the jerky gun and using it on about 5lbs of venison I haven't had a single problem. I can't imagine the end popping off the threads unless excessive force was being applied. Anybody who has ever operated a caulk gun will recognize that slow and steady pressure will allow the meat to be applied evenly. I did notice that the meat comes out much better when completely warmed to room temperature. Cleans up nice. Good gun for the price.

The jerky gun fell apart during the second use. It has a metal threaded end that fits into a plastic receiver. Under normal pressure of squeezing out finely ground venison through the supplied jerky funnels the plastic female end stripped causing the metal male end to pop off. I tried fixing this by removing the aluminum barrel and reattaching the metal end but after it stripped once it popped off every time.

I made my first batch of jerkys using the flat nozzle. Worked great. I will try the round nozzele soon. Would buy again.

Gave as a Christmas present

Very well made. Easy to use & easy to clean. Easily holds about 1.5 lbs ground meat at a time.

Bought this for my hubby last Christmas. He uses it when making jerky, and thinks it is the best product for this.

Works awesome but would have liked a wider adapter
