Well worth it!

Easy to use
Made my ice dyes vibrant. Great value for the price/quantity. I was able to soak about 8 articles of clothes from kids M shirt to XL men shirts and a hoodie. There was still some leftover to use for the next time I dye

Tie dye project
Needed this so I could tie dye with my kindergarten students, and this was perfect. Their shirts turned out so good because we soaked them in the soda ash first.

a versatile, tried and true product
I tried to tie dye a shirt from a well known retailer. Little did I know that the shirt is treated to repel stains, including tie dye. I bought another shirt and this soda ash and followed the instructions and it worked beautifully. The shirt absorbed the dye and came out great. After reading a little more about this product, I found that it is an effective stain remover and I have used it in that capacity several times. Very versatile and a good value

A must for fabric dye process!!
This is washing soda!! Used it in dyeing fabrics, it does controls PH in water, neutralizing acidity... also binds the dye to the fabric at molecular level apparently... permanently... Best to pre-soak the fabric in water mixed w soda ash + salt before dye process. Dyed fabric color stays brighter + less running color from fabric .... salt helps w color brightness .... each dye color apperently has its own separate 'dye+afterdye' reaction process curve advances the heat-timeline as these compounds are added to the dyebath! (Yes ... some are adding soda ash and salt directly into the dyebath - be ready to use on fabric as this way your dye is active)

enough soda ash to last a couple of projects. you should buy alum as well and compare which reactive dye you like best,
