Classic Nordic Noir
Gripping tale from start to finish. A mind mapping kaleidoscope of clues lead to more questions than answers. Got to get on with the next volume bye

Dragon Tatt, Too
Beautifully drawn, elegantly adapted versions of Stieg Larsson's classics. The ending felt rushed and hard to follow even though I'd read the book and seen both film versions. However, the bewitching artwork made me not care so much about the narrative.

Read the books before reading these
(The following is taken from my review of the first part of this graphic novel series, but it applies to both books as a whole)This is part two of an adaptation of the first book in Stieg Larsson's Dragon Tattoo trilogy, one that seems to be more of a graphic companion to the actual novels rather than something able to stand on its own. I've read all three of the Stieg Larsson books and have watched all of the film versions, but I still often found myself having to remember many details that were left out of this adaptation. There's A LOT missing in both of these volumes that can only be filled in by reading the books. I didn't like how many parts of the story were changed entirely, nor how the author practically changed everything about Lisbeth that made her such a compelling character in the first place. This is NOT the Lisbeth Salander that readers became obsessed with, instead she comes off as some sort of cheap ripoff of the original character. About the only redeeming quality of these books is the art, which I feel suits the story well. I knew not to get my hopes up too high, since adapting these books into graphic novels was never going to be the easiest task, but I was definitely not expecting something this mediocre. I would say you're not missing very much if you decide to pass on these.

I love the original book and I thought the graphic novel ...
I love the original book and I thought the graphic novel was a good interpretation of the book. By the was, part2 was the only graphic novel not in my collections ( I already have the other 3 of 4).

Not as good as the first
After a rather solid first half this second, and final, volume of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo loses its way a little bit. Like before, the story is a little condensed and streamlined in order to make the 561-page novel fit into roughly 290 graphic novel pages. I don't like some of the corners that they have cut. Some of the key moments from the story are abbreviated. Martin Vanger's fatal car crash is confusing and truncated, Lisbeth and Mikael's first love-making is cut short with no chemistry or feeling between them, leaving the scene cold and superfluous, and the ending with Wennerström being ruined by Lisbeth is far too rushed. Some of the panel progression is erratic and unclear, and secondary characters don't have enough defining features. It's still wonderfully drawn, with some lovely atmospheric moments (Lisbeth on the train hurtling though the snow is a stand-out moment), and essential reading for fans of the story. The original novel is the only way to read to the complete story as the Swedish movie, the American adaptation, and the graphic novel, all make their own contractions, meaning none of them are identical with their own pluses and minuses. Despite the frustration I had with Volume 2 I will still be buying and reading the next 4 books in this series.

Not great but not bad
Not a bad adaptation but art is a bit roughBut i guess it does set the overall tone of this book. Check out titan publishers book of the same title translation from french language to English i preferred the art and a closer adaptation to the book and film.

Well worth it....
I had read the original book a couple of years ago. So when I saw that there was a graphic novel I jumped at the chance to read it. The first part was so well drawn that I wanted the next, but had to wait. And it was well worth waiting for. Lisbeth was how I visualised her in my head. The artists followed the discriptions in the book to the letter. If you don't fancy reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, then these two books are the next best thing. You will not be disappointed. It says at the back of the book that The Girl Who Played With Fire is going to be a graphic novel too. Lets hope it is not going to be too long a wait.

Bought for the Mrs.
She liked the novels and loved the graphic novels even more. Nice quality hard cover, art is spot on (realistic, with a touch of extreme contrast. Lisbeth looks at times like Aurra Sing from the Star Wars EU comics).Well worth a purchase.
