Taskin Bakery Turkish Round Pita BreadIngredients: flour, water, yeast, sesame seeds, and salt. It doesn’t have butter, as listed on the Amazon website.Nutritional information:Serving size: 1 oz. It's also not 100% whole wheat, but that doesn't reduce this product's excellence. The shape and size of each of the three loaves that come in the pack reminds me of a seven or nine inch pizza dough before it’s flattened to form the pizza’s base. The diameter of each loaf varies, depending on how flat the baker chose to make it, but each loaf can be sliced across to form a top and a bottom of a big sandwich. One loaf can feed four to eight people, depending on the serving size preference and on whether you’re preparing an open or closed sandwich. I’m a little person who seldom gains weight so two servings of this bread is good for me. Depending on how I complement a loaf, I can get as many as twelve servings out of a single pack or as few as six when I have a ravenous appetite (that would be like eating half of a medium pizza by myself). The texture is similar, but airier than a Thomas’s English muffin. As a matter of fact, the bottom of these loaves have the same corn-like flour coating (probably coarsely ground semolina) that’s on the Thomas’s English muffins, but this Turkish bread is nicer than a Thomas’s. The Turkish loaves have a small sprinkling of light and dark sesame seeds. A sesame Kaiser roll or bagel normally has more seeds per serving.I don’t know anything about Turkish bread or food and I was anxious to taste this new product. As soon as the bread arrived today, I cut and enjoyed a plain serving after brunch. It was delicious and I can think of a lot that can be done with this bread. Simple recipes include coatings of butter, fruit spreads, and peanut butter or you can slice it for a favorite sandwich. It’s a nice bagel substitute so I will be enjoying it with cream cheese and/or smoked salmon. The consistency is also strong enough for baked dishes: top it off with veggies, cheeses, and sauce to create an exiting pizza or other flavorful dish. I hope you enjoy any combination with your favorite beverage! I also suggest that you visit their website, where they feature 44 different products, including dessert items (www.taskinbakery.com).Storage suggestions: A reviewer complained that this nice bread became moldy too soon. I have successfully stored bread in the freezer for months by slicing it in portions, making it easy to thaw and enjoy. This particular bread shipped from Jersey City to my New York home and it arrived in excellent condition. I’ve also ordered breads from Indiana and have never had a problem because I convert large portions into smaller servings and store them in the freezer.

False advertising
Does not look like anything in the picture. It is small round bread and has no sesame seed on it. Definitely not Turkish bread

Vienna rolls from Turkey
Well, actually, this is from a Turkish bakery in Brooklyn, New York. But these rolls are how Turks show they have superior taste in food to mere Arab pita. Basically, these are Vienna rolls with sesame seeds on top, and they are great for breakfast with American jam and peanut butter on the side and maybe Turkish coffee and milk. The bakery recommends toasting them, but 30 seconds more or less in my microwave seem to do the job in bringing out the full flavor.I can not confirm that these rolls are perishable. In my refrigerator, they stay fresh tasting and looking for one to two weeks. I'll have to keep them longer before eating them up to see if they get mouldy.

Good if used quickly
The bread was very good when I first received it. In two days, however, it started to get spotty mold. Probably won't order again.
