Review: Works like a charm - Bought this to connect up my Raspberry PI2 to my old style TV. Works like a charm, clear display, clean stereo, no audio issues. (OSMC media center on it.) Edit: Had a person post a question on if this would give 1080i output for a rasberry pi b Also noted some people saying this would not work for their rasberry pi device. Frankly it seems unlikely to have an issue unless you happen to get one with a broken wire in it. Seems more likely the person is attempting to connect this up as if it is RGB component output. It's not component, it's composite, similar to what you would get out of an old DVD player or VCR. Again this is not the cable's fault, all composite devices follow standards designed way before HD TV's were created. Even though Rasbian or other OS on the raspberry pi b, could drive an output of 1080i (via HDMI on the newer models). The Composite connection is lower. According to the wiki composite is limited to: "various PAL and NTSC standards,[29] composite video (PAL and NTSC) via RCA jack" In the rasberry configuration I see: sdtv_mode defines the TV standard for composite output (default=0) sdtv_mode=0 Normal NTSC sdtv_mode=1 Japanese version of NTSC - no pedestal sdtv_mode=2 Normal PAL sdtv_mode=3 Brazilian version of PAL - 525/60 rather than 625/50, different subcarrier sdtv_aspect defines the aspect ratio for composite output (default=1) sdtv_aspect=1 4:3 sdtv_aspect=2 14:9 sdtv_aspect=3 16:9 So in summary. As long as your connecting this to a composite input (usually a yellow connector) and 2 audio inputs (red/white, red/black) you should be getting a pretty decent composite level output and stereo (not 5:1) audio. Review: Works with Raspberry Pi 2 but it has a terrible plastic smell - This cable is not like the average RCA cables where three individual wires are glued together and you can peel them off as long as you need. In other words, if - for example - your TV has the video RCA on the back and the audio on the front, you can't use this cable. The maximum distance you can achieve between two RCA plugs is less than 10 inches before the three branches unite into one single cable. It might be a concern for me since I plan to use it to connect my Raspberry Pi 2 to my CCTV camera DVR system. I will use one of the camera inputs for video and a microphone input for the audio. The two inputs are distant apart on the DVR. Cable works ok on my old CRT TV, I just wish they used better quality plastic that does not smell. Minus 1 star for the terrible smell.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great with a Raspberry Pi 2!
*by B***T on August 5, 2015*

Works well to channel the output from a Raspberry Pi 2 (or, I imagine, a Raspberry Pi Model B+, though I can't test it as I don't own that model) to an SDTV using the output jack. I bought this in the hopes that it would enable me to use the combine audio and video jack on my Raspberry Pi 2 to connect it to an SDTV via composite (I typically work on my Pi in a space that has a single monitor which I'm sometimes using for other purposes, but also an old TV nearby - this lets me use the old TV as a monitor for the Pi when the other monitor is otherwise occupied). Few things to note though: - Resolution on the monitor will be quite limited - think 640x480 - In my case, I had to use the HDMI monitor to change the configuration files to force the output out of the composite. This is not hard to do and wouldn't likely be required for a new image, but may be. - Given the limitations of the composite interface (and older SDTVs in general), it's not likely to be the sharpest/highest refresh rates If you're okay with those limitations and have an old SDTV (or even an HDTV with composite inputs) that you want to use with the Pi 2, give this a whirl!
