***UPDATED 8/8/2017**The seller contacted me after seeing my prior negative feedback and advised that we should not have had those kinds of problems so there must have been a manufacturing issue, and offered to send me a replacement batch. The tapes in the replacement batch have so far had no issues with imprint nor with backing--much easier now to peel away. They even checked in with me afterwards to be sure I was satisfied. Therefore, I have updated my original 1-star rating to 5 stars, which applies both to the product itself, as well as the Seller for being so proactive.ORIGINAL FEEDBACK POSTS:Seemed to be a good value until you try to actually peel away the backing--takes sharp fingernails and about five minutes to get the backing off of it as there is no perforation down the middle of the strip like other TZ tapes. I've bought other TZe231 compatibles from Amazon vendors before and been very happy with those purchase, but won't purchase from this particular vendor again. UPDATED: Several of the tapes are also defective when it comes to imprint. The imprint is very light and almost illegible. When I swapped out for another tape, the problem disappeared, so it's definitely something to do with the materials in the tape and not the label printer. Have had to throw away 3 of these so far.

Purchasing another set again, they work great. This time though one of the tapes came messed up. We tried to print with it but as you can see it from the pictures it has printed on the black not the white and it is somehow flipped. Would like for the vendor to send me a corrected one or a credit for the one that is messed up.

For years, I've really been wary of "compatible" toner cartridges or ink cartridges, as it's known that they can cause issues over time. However, a thermal label maker is a much simpler beast than an inkjet or laser printer.On first receipt, I found the packaging for these Brother compatible labels was a bit disheartening, but they turned out to be just as good as the original. It may be the packaging / brand name itself that is the only real difference. I did a careful inspection of the material:-thickness of the label material - just as the OEM cartridge from Brother-laminated surface - same as original-color fastness (thermal ink smudge test) - perfectPerfect replacement, no worries or regrets. Will buy again many times.

You really can't tell the difference between this product and the brand name label tape.Other users had reported jamming issues, but I'm currently halfway into a tape roll and haven't encountered one yet.The only issue so far is that sometimes the lamination drifts off the edge of the label by about 0.5mm, but it usually corrects itself within a few inches. Once you apply the label, you can't even tell.

The only difference between this and the brand name tapes is the price. I got 5 tapes here for what it would cost me for 1 in a retail store. Plenty of bright colors, clear black writing, sticker is easy peel, the paper in the back be cut in the middle which allows you to easily peel it off. The cartridge exactly fit my Brothers p-Touch 1000 label printer. Will buy more.

I would definitely continue to buy product here. The quality is good and the price is amazing! I tried buying a replace tape at Walmart andIt was 19 dollars just for 1!!! That’s insane! Here it was 9 for 2!!! Now that’s amazing!

I was a bit skeptical about buying some generic label cartridges from China, but I was pleasantly surprised by these. I see virtually no difference between these labels and the brand name. And you also get two of them! Shipping will take a little while as I didn't realize these were shipped directly from China. If you have Prime and need the labels soon, you should probably look for some other ones on Amazon that are eligible for Prime.

I try to stick to name brand when buying brother labels, but when you are labeling 300+ labels bin for bolts, screws, nuts, bulb, fuses... Well you get the idea. Cost comes in to play. I could not tell the difference in quality when printing. Remember to pretension the strip and make sure its fed properly before installing. No jams even when I accidently cut the strip while it was feeding. Just as sticky as the name brand.

Works well in my label makers and much cheaper than name brand label cartridges. The backing paper is more difficult to remove than name brand labels so you'll waste a little time fiddling with that. Also the very first print jammed my machine because the laminated top coat wasn't lined up correctly with the label underneath. Wasted a few feet of labels trying to get them lined up again, but it all works fine after that.

Perfect, top notch, a fraction of the price and as good as the original!
