TOAKSUltralight Titanium Cook System

Nice compact set up. I have used several times now and I'm impressed. The quality is good. The mug/pot with lid works well. The lid like other Toaks pots I have is not a tight fit but does the job. Please note in use the handles get really hot. Also I use the Snowpeak "hot lips" for comfortable drinking. The windscreen is really light and thin and for best use requires a paperclip to keep it together and to keep it from blowing away. Also I cut a small notch in the foil to accommodate the mug handle. The stuff sacks are a nice touch but some are starting to come apart in the seams. The folding spork is really nice, much better than the folding plastic ones I've got in other kits. Will boil about 10 fl oz in 6 min with about 1/2 an esbit tablet. Will leave a residue on the pot but washes off easily with water. Solid fuel tablets can be a bugger to light in the wind, I use a little bit of methanol on the tablet then light.

This is my first experiment with Esbit fuel. So far I’ve just brought it along on fair weather day hikes. It won’t quite bring two cups of water to a boil without a lid but it was great for instant coffee and dry soup mix. Some people object to the smell of the fuel. I can’t say I liked it but maybe my sinus troubles kept it from really bothering me. It certainly doesn’t affect the taste of the water. I’m not an ultralight fetishist. I’m just old and I don’t feel like carrying a heavy pack. This little cook kit, along with a summer weight bag, light air mattress, pertex bivy and silnylon poncho tarp leaves me plenty of room in a 26 liter frameless pack.

I personally did not think buying an expensive titanium cookset would be worth all the hype. I'm a hiker an I use a 35 liter pack for my winter camping and as most know winter pack weight is much higher so I needed to save space and weight. This system nests in the pot and still has room for your fuel tabs an a lighter or matches an the stuff sack is big enough to put a myog cozy inside as well. the weight an space I saved is awesome an this is by far for my solo hiking trips the best stove I've used. Solid fuel stoves are the safest, most stable, and easiest stoves you can use use in theoutdoors. I'd suggest this system to anyone both for price an functionality. One more thing, this kit is also very good looking

Used this system on a hike in falling snow. Boiled water in about 10 minutes, enough to rehydrate my meal and provide me with hot tea that I drank straight from the pot with the use of "hot lips". Made meals just about as effortless as they can get when backpacking. The spork is very helpful; be sure to use the sliding bar to lock it in place so you can stir and scoop. Would buy again!

The best ultralight cook system if all you want to do is rehydrate food (freezer bag cooking), have a hot beverage, or cook hot breakfasts like oatmeal or cream of wheat. The photo I added has a k-cup as a reference for size. I also made my own aluminum reflector (for the bottom) which isn't really necessary. There is plenty of room to pack a lighter, fuel tablets, and depending on how good at Tetris you are, you can fit in a small soap and sponge, with everything else.

I love this cook set. I use it all the time when I'm watching weight. It is definitely not top quality. I had to return my fist one due to bad welds near the handle. I think Evernew or some other name brand have much better quality but you just cant beat this price and price is a big issue when your putting together multiple packs for you and your family. I would definitely recommend this set for anyone trying to go light weight on a budget.

It is exactly what it's been promoted to be,extremely light and a good piece of kit! I don't care for the smell of the esbit fuel tabs upon opening, they stink like fish! Other than that completely satisfied . Thank you

Can't believe the designers of this would not bother to put liquid measurement markings on the cup. Try doing some cooking. "Add 2 oz....mix with 350ml" Dumb.

Prinzipiell entsprich alles den Erwartungen. Der Topf hat eine gute Größe für den Brennwert eines 14g Trockenbrennstoffwürfels. Nur der Windschutz ist größer als auf Produktbildern. Er ist leider zu groß um für den Transport in den Topf zu passen. Zur Fixierung des Windschutzes am Boden benötigt man Heringe oder etwas ähnliches - sonst weht er weg

I tried it in --20 c to make a hot chocolate in about 8 minutes, love it so far, the weight is insignificant, cleans up easy, and fits my Nalgene if I want.
