It's Not My Favorite Paperback – October 31, 2013

Gwenn and Rachel are very close sisters. Gwenn is single, and looking for love. Rachel is a lesbian, and has been keeping it from her parents. He mother is a very strong Christian, and is always trying to find the two girls “good Christian guys”.Gwenn meets this man, Daniel. They have only met a couple of times, but when she goes to New Zealand to find herself, he follows her. She finds herself believing Daniel might be her father, only for him not to be. He seemed to have fallen in love with Gwenn in the few times they were together.This was a very hard story to follow. I felt like Rachel should have a little more in the story. Her whole coming out, break-up and make-up was a little rushed for me.I did enjoy the story, and I found it to be funny and a cute read. It was alright.It can be as simple as that. It really had me bored throughout most of the story. I also found a lot of the story to just be a wee over the top.I didn't much care for the character of Gwen. Her issue with her parents and the way she acted throughout majority of the story just had me rolling my eyes. I really liked Henry and I felt the author cop'd out in the way he was quickly dismissed. I would have liked to see more of him. Actually, I was rooting for him in some regards as I felt it'd be an interesting plot to have two people fall in love in the unique way that they met. I couldn't stand Daniel. He was obsessive and it was very unbelievable that he fell in love after one day. Who in the world travels across the world over a girl they only knew a day!? He creeped me out in so many different ways. He seemed like a stalker. Also, his reaction to Henry was beyond ridiculous.I would have liked to see more of Rachel. I liked Annie and Rachel but that also was resolved too quickly. All the romances in here were just too quick and very unrealistic.Overall I give it a 3/5 because it is a good story about growing up and the turmoils one may have with their families.oh and sidenote: I LOVED that the author in the kindle version was able to link to actual pictures of places where Rachel and Gwen were. This was the first time I ever saw something like this and I loved it!I wouldn't probably go around recommending the story to others though.

This is my first book by this author and man oh man it is not going to be my last that is for sure. I was not sure if i would like it or not from the blurb but it took me two pages and I was HOOKED. Not only that I am so hooked I fixing to go and grab the next book in the series based on the page and half except left at the end of this book.This book is the story of two sisters raised by extreme Christian parents. You know the kind that think everything you do is wrong and not "Christ like". Can't wear pants. They need to find you the perfect husband, well the problem with that is one of the sisters is gay and of course she has not told her parents. Rachel is living with her girlfriend Annie and she has a bakery. Gwenn owns a company called The Organizer. She goes to homes and offices and organizes their spaces. Because she is so well at organizing her parents have help them everytime they move which is every couple years (maybe even months). During their last move Gwenn found pictures of her mom in front of some artwork that gave Gwenn reason to believe she was not her father's daughter. This is not far from her own mind as she looks nothing like her sister and she has always thought maybe something weird was going on.In looking for the artist who signed the pictures she meets Daniel. Their journey together is both funny at times and also extremely hot too.Then we have Rachel and Annie 's story... it is not as heavy a story in this book and I hope that in one of the other books in this series we get more of their story.Good story with depth.

Really enjoyed this book very interesting characters unusual story flows nicely.Great pace very well worth reading. Well deserved star's.

This book was excellent and I did not want to put it down, I had to know what was going to happen next.It is well written and very entertaining.

A different kind of romance with various themes and storylines linked together. Certainly different.

A good read, quite predictable but thoroughly enjoyable. Characters really well written,felt like i'd known them all for years by the end
