Tide Time Nautical Maritime Tide Clock - Beach Face

This is a beautiful tide clock. But the operative word is :tide:. I didn't realize it wasn't a regular clock when I ordered it, and when I got it I was surprised. But it is attractive and I have a family member who does live at the ocean (I'm inland) and gave it to him. He has set it and it keeps and accurate record of the tides and it is so attractive. It is a nice item.

Not the strongest, but it's perfect light weight for hanging on a wall. Gave it as a gift, and it looks great hanging in their house at the beach. Seems to be pretty accurate too!

The clock is attractive and is working as advertised. I love knowing where we are in the tide cycle. The tricky part is getting the battery in. Also, it doesn't seem like moving the hands is a good idea, better to wait until high tide and then insert the battery so that the clock starts from there. Including more information with the clock would be a plus. There is no battery cover, so I have mine inside instead of outside on the porch.

The picture looks good but it's not as it looks. Basically it is constructed of heavy cardboard with the printed scene glued on it. No face covering or edge pieces for protection. The directions for setting it were mind boggling unless you had already set a tide clock and knew it really wasn't that hard. I gave it as a gift and sent to them, wish I had seen it first as I would have returned it. It was an embarrassing gift.

Terrible clock for the price. This is a piece of cardboard with a crappy beach scene pasted on it. I could have made this at home! It's not woth $35.00 and the 5 star reviews are obviously fake! Make matters worse, when I try to return this the reason of "Product doens't match description" isn't an option?? I feel duped! Buyer beware!Update.. Amazon customer service made things right, love Amazon!

The ticking is quite loud. Unfortunately, someone else also gave us a tide clock as a gift, and it's an actual clock, not just a face, so you can actually tell the time with the tides. Just was expecting more from this item. For those of you ordering, realize this is just a clock face, and not an actual time telling clock. However, the tide readings are correct.

We absolutely love this tide clock. Unlike other tide clocks that work on an hourly basis, this clock actually works on the basis of the moon phase. High and low tides change as the seasons change and this clock has all of that built in so that it's accurate all the time, not just at full moon once a year. It's also very attractive and easy to read. We highly recommend this tide clock.
