The exact location of the controls. There's a slightly sneaky aspect by the seller here, if it was more clearly shown I might have hesitated. So I included a photo showing this. I was hoping controls would be more towards the business end of this light, as in the top or end closest to you. As many other lamps of it's ilk are...or are touch controlled over the entire surface. This location sort of limits it's use to being accessible to the base controls. Where as I wanted to have the base tucked over there in a back corner, with the light over hanging a dual monitor system. Which the extension length and height are perfect for, longest I could find actually in it's class. I suppose this won't and does not bother many people...given the 5 star reviews (me included) and lack of mention of this. These hopeful assumptions being my fault...so I can't detract here. It's a well built, great aesthetic, highly functional, almost infinitely adjustable, bright, good color options, sleek, industrial-stylish, metal lamp. Even well grounded, no cycle hum on audio signal paths (something important to me and what I do). Just my opinion here, does not make a ton of sense given the overall design, very long arm extension for placing the concentration of light so distant from the controls: Why not just locate the controls at the light source if you can? Limits this lamp to side desk mount or bedside, work table, any location you can clearly get to the base...like a traditional lamp that's clearly defying traditional lamp operation by design. Regardless...I'll find a great spot for it I'm sure, just not the one I hoped for...which is why I took this little chance on it in the first place. It's all good.

As a minimalist, I have been looking around for a desk lamp for a while now. This lamp is exactly what I needed. One great feature that drew my attention to this lamp is that it is fitted with a clamp mount. I placed it towards the back of my desk giving me as much space on my desk as possible and maximizing the area when I need to work. . Very easy to move the arms around and get full light source on the entire work space. When I am not using my desk, I just fold up the arms on the lamp to a neat position. I am a huge fan of being able to dim lights. This lamp has this feature allowing different temperature adjustments. I often use the warm temperature feature in the evening with the timer to give the room a cozy ambience. Although the timer feature can be set to 10 or 40 minutes, it would be nice to have a remote control to also operate it.Its a very sturdy versatile lamp made out of a solid material that keeps stable without falling off or shifting around. Box came with an instruction booklet that was easy to understand. I am super satisfied with this purchase -even thinking about gifting one to my husband for his study. !

I have this lamp clamped on the right side of my 70 x 30 inch standing desk, and it's great. i can use it to really focus in on work, or raise it to light a larger area. I've debated buying a second of these for the left side of my desk, though -- as it doesn't at all cover the left-most 20 inches or so of my desk.Holding the power button allows for dimming, and holding the temperature button allows for a continuously adjustable spectrum. Very nicely designed, and a great addition. Very happy with my unit.If the lamp were about two inches longer, I'd have paid a few bucks more for it. Not a big deal, though.I do recommend using rubber bumpers on the aluminum clamp to protect your desk. Those can be found inexpensively from many sellers on Amazon. (I use them with every stand I have clamped to my desk, and several things on it. I use them on three monitor stands, my clock, my raspberry pi, my mechanical keyboard, and elsewhere)But I digress. Highly recommended desk light.

I really like this lamp, I have it attached to the headboard of my bed and plugged into a switched wall outlet. I just received it about an hour ago and tested its functionality because I had questions I didnt notice any answers to. The main concern was when I had settings for color spectrum and brightness set, then turned the lamp off at the switch, would it retain the settings when switched back on. The answer is yes, thankfully. Like I mentioned I've only had it an hour and the results of my test were limited to just a few minutes, but I have faith that the electronics are built to retain the settings over night or a couple of days when the wall switch is off.The material it is constructed of seems quite study and holds its position nicely, however I did notice someone else's comment about the power plug is straight, had it been a 90 degree plug it would have been a bit less conspicuous, but not really noticeable in my application as much as if it were mounted on my drafting table or such. Now that I mentioned drafting table I will see how this holds up and possible buy another for my home office.The buttons operate as indicated and won't take long to figure out how they function being there is just two of them. I'm sure I'll forget being I'll never have to play with them because I have it connected to a wall switch.The reason for the four stars instead of five is because the clamp didn't come with any rubber pads to prevent the clamp from leaving marks on my headboard. I didn't care so much about the back of my square shaped headboard because it faces the wall, but I had to find a small piece of rubber to protect the front. I hope this review is helpful.... Peace!
