It's okay...but would not buy again
I bought this item because my dog had eaten my original key fob. And I was carrying the Circuit board around in my purse. :/I decided to order this one because it looks like it had good quality. And I needed something fast. It said it came with the Ford logo on the back, and from what I remember reading it said it came with the battery. It came with NEITHER. Which I am extremely frustrated about because I had to go and find a battery to fit this. (Seems like not a big problem, but I like 45 mins from town) Also it did not come with the battery connection on the underside of the battery . So it wouldn't have worked not matter what.Which really isn't helpful when your animal Obliterates the original. Luckily I was able to scrounge through my dogs kennel and find the connector and finally make it work. The other thing that is highly frustrating is you can drop this from a foot off the floor and it will completely come apart. Which is another frustrating part because then there are pieces all over the floor. I am quite disappointed with this purchase, it works for now and if you need a quick fix like I did, but I would not buy it again. And wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Wouldn't buy it again...
We purchased this through Amazon. Initially it was decent, the chrome is plastic and cheap, but it's $11 so... A day or so in the chrome ring around the outside started to bow out, a little superglue remedied that. About 5 days of use and the small bowl which activates the lock circuit started to flatten out meaning it was constantly transmitting the "lock" command to the car. After setting off the alarm 3-4 times, getting stuck in the car once, and locked out twice, we returned it. As always Amazon stood behind it and the return process was quick and easy. That said I would look elsewhere for a lock case. I noticed several other reviewers mentioned that theirs came with the "Ford" emblem on the back which makes me think this seller might send some OEM and some not, we weren't the lucky ones and ours was a cheap knock off (again, $11, not surprised, but I wouldn't buy it again).

Good price and seller shipped fast
Good price and seller shipped fast. However, the key blank provided is a bit larger than the actual key. The actual key will not safely fit in and lock in place in the replacement key shell. The do slide into the shell, but they don't lock in place. I would be very worried carrying this around without my key having been locked in place. It could slide out and get lost. Fortunately most people will buy this to replace worn out buttons. You can use the old black back of your existing shell as well as the inside electronics and then use only the front part of the shell with the new button clicker parts and be back to working. All-in-all, I would recommend this. Just be aware that my keys did not lock in place properly.

Decent replacement. Notch in key is not the same as OEM.
The notch in the replacement key, and corresponding latch to hold it in place, is not in the same position/size as my factory key.I had no intention of paying to have the included blank cut since my current key was just fine. A little modification of the latch with a utility knife was good enough to get my current key to fit properly. Just had to slice away some of the bottom edge of the plastic latch and it would then slide into the factory key notch. Be careful not the lose the spring! It went flying across the room a few times while trying to cut/assemble. Luckily I found it and learned my lesson.FYI - I had a 2015 Escape.

Better than expected. DOES have the Ford logo on the back.
Worked perfect! Simple to swap out the guts. I think one reviewer complained that it did not have the ford logo on the back like the original, well, the one I received had the ford logo and it was actually BETTER than the original.Extra note: I was CONSTANTLY setting off my alarm by accidentally pressing the alarm button. Whether it was the keyfob in my pocket or it was when I had it in my hand with other items. So.... since I don't ever expect to be tackled in a parking lot, I disabled my by simply removing the small round metal contact piece on the underside of the button. I kept it in case I ever want to re-install in the event that I sell the vehicle etc.

Pretty cheaply made compared to the authentic key fob from Ford. Everything about it feels cheap. But it works.

works perfect and no ford emblem hmmmm who cares
The product is as described. Please note you have to be a hands on person with tech skill as removing the battery contact without mangling it is like brain surgery. I recommend examine it very closely because there are 2 tiny tabs that hold it down. Look I'm a 60 year old mechanic who accomplished it with success so you can also. Good luck
