Great bike and customer service.
Having a well designed bike as a first bike after using a strider really makes all the difference in the world. Our girls had been using striders since about 2 yrs old and at 3.5 they were able to get on the gecko and ride immediately. The geometry is so much better than the cheaper bikes and even woom, which are both more upright. This has more of an adult geometry with their weight evenly distributed over the handlebars and seat which gives them a lot of control. It's a really well made bike and super sturdy. I have no doubts it will last through many years of hand me downs. On top of that, we got amazing customer service. We ended up ordering the wrong size bike for our girls. Because we ordered them early before Christmas, we didn't realize it until it was after the 30 day return window. We contacted Cleary, and ended up talking with Jeff Cleary, the owner. He worked with us to find a way to exchange bikes and gave us a full credit towards the larger size bike. We even went to the HQ and got the bikes set up.

Fantastic Geometry and Build
Bought for my son 3 weeks before his third birthday. He immediately started pedalling and on day two we went for a two mile ride. I did have to true the wheels a bit out of the box (easily done). Now hes 4 and we ride typically 8-10 mile rides together frequently. We’ll be getting him a Hedgehog in a few weeks. This bike has been a rockstar both on and off road. He has ridden it just over a thousand miles in the 2+ years hes been on it (we use a garmin gps on his gecko). I have zero complaints with it and if youre looking at setting up your little one with a gecko, I would highly encourage you to get one. We looked at and rode woom, frog, specialized and Cleary out does them all.

Flawed design, refusal to fix.
If you are thinking about this for a smaller kiddo...don’t. Seriously don’t do it, this design is flawed, and customer support does not exist nor does anything resembling responsibility from Cleary.I had several small issues with poor assembly right out of the box, fixed them myself pretty quick, problem solved.Once my kid was on it is was immediately apparent that there are bigger issues with the design and pairing of components with this bike. Cleary noticed them too, they changed up a few things on the 2021 model to try and put a bandaid on this flawed design but refuse to help out us suckers who dropped $300+ on the flawed model. Zero compassion and zero responsibility on their end, I can not support this company or their products. The flaw is in the incredibly long frame and reach combined with the short stand over clearance that a lot of us bought this bike for, the kids that are a little smaller than most. Because of the length my kid was stretched out way to far for comfort or function but at the same time her knees are in her chest when she pedals. Cleary managed to make a bike for kids that is both too big and too small at the same time! way to go!Great idea failed execution and nonfunctional design and a company that refuses to back up its product.
