Worth its weight in gold
I just used the dog lick pad for the first time with my one year old, 50 lb. rescue doggie. He's terrified of baths. There's evidence that he's had a pretty traumatic past - the last thing I want to do is traumatize him with baths. The dog lick pad is a god-send, seriously. I put peanut butter on it yesterday and froze it overnight. It held the peanut butter perfectly. It suctions to glass REALLY well, but it's easy to pull off when finished. It kept him busy while I lathered him up from top to bottom - he was still a little suspicious about the water and soap, but I think he realized getting the lick pad makes the "torture" worthwhile :) I think the size is great - this boy can EAT and he didn't manage to get through all the peanut butter the pad accommodates. Also, he was nibbling and pulling at it pretty hard, and it didn't get damaged or fall off. I am recommending this to all my dog-owning friends, I am so happy with this thing!

My dogs didn't dig it
This works pretty much how it's stated. It wouldn't stick to my wall (it's not made of tiles though), but stuck to the actual bathtub. Turns out the bath is so scary my dogs don't care WHAT you put in front of them. They completely ignored the peanut butter. However, after the bath, I stuck the peanut butter-covered pad to my front door and the dogs went to town on it. To clean it, run it under the bathtub faucet or anything with pressure and that gets most of it off (with some finger work to rub out the thinner crevices). A brush would clean it really fast, too.Overall, good product, just didn't work with my dogs.

Not for Oliver
I bought this product to help with my Husky Oliver's baths. It did not go as planned. Evidently Oliver's love for peanut butter doesn't outweigh his fear of baths. I stick the peanut butter on the mat and show him, maybe he will hop in. Nope. Okay I'll put the mat in the shower, put some peanut butter on my fingers, and coax him into the bath. Nope. Okay I'll pick him up with my peanut butter fingers, once I get him in the tub he will see the peanut butter mat and lick it. Nope. He lays his head on my lap, ensuring I am fully soaked by the end of the bath. Okay I'll stick the mat on my leg next to his head, then he can lick the peanut butter while I wash him. Nope. Get done with the whole bath, I am soaked, get him out of the tub, toss the mat on the floor. Oh look! Peanut butter, thanks Mom. 🙄🙄🙄

Best Bath Time Tool
More important than the lead, more important than the shampoo or even the water is this lick pad! Our doggo doesn't mind water but he isn't a fan of the tub or the running water sound/pressure. With this lick pad we can easily place him into a filled tub and not have to worry about him pulling away or trying to jump out since the pad keeps his attention. It suctions well and we've had no issues with it falling yet it is also easy to move if you need to re position your pup. Our dog is not a huge fan of peanut butter so we use cream cheese and applesauce (freeze the applesauce so it doesn't just slide off) if your pup is a bath nightmare and loves food this is for you.

Does the trick!
I bought this hoping it would keep my 7 month old wiggle worm Labrador puppy sufficiently still so I could trim her nails. I spread it with peanut butter and stuck it to a cabinet. It worked like a charm! I also used it with my 10 year old Labrador who has always fought nail trims - I don't think she even noticed I was doing her nails. At first blush, I thought the "smear surface" was a tad bit too deep, but after using it, decided it was perfect. It kept them busy longer working to get into those crevices. It stayed put and was easy to clean.

Product great, dog great but not easily distracted
Loved the idea behind the product. Our dog was not distracted enough by peanut butter to stand still for a bath though. Hopefully as he gets more baths he will relax and lick away! He did however love cleaning it off after is bath!

very strong suction
i stuck this to the side of a porcelain tub while i shaved my shih-tzu mix, he was trying really hard to pull it off and it didn't budge, i'm very impressedtip: i put peanut butter on it the put it in the freezer to harden it, thinking it would last longer not be as messy, i think it worked, plus it was easy to clean once we were done, i let it soak in the sink with water for a while then held it under the faucet and the remaining hardened pieces of peanut butter came off easily

Great for dog nail trims!
I use this for my pup when I dremel his nails. He's 80 pounds so having him distracted is just what I needed. I put the lickpad on our glass shower door while he's on the grooming table. I dremel, he licks. He still doesn't like getting his nails trimmed, but he's waaaaay more tolerant now. Easy Peasy! Suction works great on the glass. It doesn't take much peanut better at all. Smear it in good with your finger and it last longer than it takes me to do his nails.
