These lighting to HDMI converters are total fakes. We use these in our office for iPad presentations. We have had many and the always disappear for some reason. I purchased 2 of these and they are total fakes. After spending 30 min doing system checks we called our IT director and upon arrival he supplies a real converter and the system worked. When compared side to side they look identical but when the 2 in question DO NOT WORK. We tried them in numerous configurations and none of them would work. These lighting to HDMI converters are total fakes/knockoffs and not real.

In order for this device to work, you must have your charger plugged into it and give it permission to access your stuff which no other hdmi has ever done, so that was sketchy. Once you give it permission your iPad/phone gets permanently stuck on 100% and you have to restart your devices (after your done using it) to get them back to normal. Despite all of that, it makes your devices glitchy when they’re plugged in a lot of the time (e.g. Netflix app won’t open, Safari freezes, other apps crash). I wouldn’t waste my time buying this because who knows what it’s truly doing to my expensive devices.

The Digital AV adapter was easy to use and set-up. It worked great the first time of use for watching a show. Tried to use it a second time and it was a no go. Troubleshooting of various items occurred on swapping out HDMI cables and trying different ports. But ultimately, it was determined that the device died after one use.

Enabled me to show smartphone images on TV. Maybe that’s not a great accomplishment, but it was a big deal for me.

This product is awful and should not even be sold. The first one we received didn’t work. We figured it was defective and requested a replacement. Just got that and it still DOES NOT WORK. Returning.
