Lixit Quick Lock Cage Bowls for Small Animals and Birds. (20oz, Stainless)

I've purchased some of these for one reason, the metal bowl. I volunteer with a large rescue, and have many adopted birds, plus boarded ones in my home. These would be perfect except for the plastic attachment on the twist device, and bottom. We bought some for the rescue, but they didn't last. The large birds can remove, chew up the plastic attachments, so I use them for the small birds only. We thought the entire products was made of stainless steel. Would be perfect if so.

This is just what I've been looking for. My dog loves tipping over bowls with food/water in them. Previously, I used some plastic bowls that attached to the crate but the attachments were not strong enough and she was able to nudge them out. She would also love chewing on the plastic bowls. This metal bowl works great because the attachment to the crate has yet to be breached and she's unable to disfigure the bowl by chewing on it since it is metal. I just wish they offered them in larger sizes. 20oz is pretty small for a small-medium sized dog (beagle of 26lbs).

I've bought several Lixit crate crocks - plastic and stainless, 20 oz and 40 oz, and they all work great. Sturdy and well made. I recommend the stainless steel version because it holds up better against chewers and anxious dogs, and stainless steel is a much safer material than plastic.

I use these for my parrot food and water. I have them in cages and some on trees. I usually hand wash but have put them in the dishwasher too. My macaws haven’t destroyed the bowl yet. They will chew on the holder if it is empty.

Item was as advertised, but did not meet my needs. I bought this item hoping that it would meet the needs of my rabbit, but he took one look at it and not only was there water all over the inside and outside of his cage, but he also managed to rip it out of its holding place. There was nothing wrong with the item itself, and I will most likely use it for my bearded dragon's worms, but as a water dish for my rabbit it was a total bust hence the three stars.

Changed mount from serrated plastic that would grab onto pen bars to thin metal strips that bend and give leaving you with a mess............. this will be my last purchase of this product.

This is a must for crate training. No spills since its attached to the crate.

First that came in the mail missing the bowl! Then the second came complete but it worked on the crate and my Pup loves to have food when she is in her kennel.

Great for ferrets

Perfect size for crate. High sides to limit spills. Wish metal washers were curved on end to keep from turning when tightening to crate screen.

Ferret can chew it up.
