Fruit is nature's candy, but some dried fruits that I love for snacking and baking are a bit off in other brands. I've been trying for ages and been plagued by small package sizes, overpriced, underwhelming goods and limited choice. Jansal Valley has none of these problems. Always excellent products, pound or half pound sizes, great taste, texture... It has it all. Ginger is one of my favorites. I'm using it in both a REAL fruitcake, with actual dried fruit, and it's in my fruit bowl for lunch. Can't get enough.Side note here: If you like the Ginger, you'll adore the dates. Say goodbye to sad date shells. They aren't pitted, and that's a good thing. I was hoping to find the kind of crystallized ginger I'd buy years ago at a NYC market - I think it might have been a corner specialized grocery in Soho .... melt in your mouth tender ... and more sweet than hot ... a treat I'd look forward to purchasing on my walk home .... this product is ok .... it was packaged well - I guess they addressed the leakage problem others complained about in shipping ...
