Update Aug 2020Still working well but please note we only use the microwave a few times a week. the vent holes don't really allow splatter so that's good.End updateworks so much better than another lid i have. The design with the handle is perfect. Do yourself a favor and don't pick one with the indented top design where you grab it with your fingers. Either it dips down a lot and ends up sitting on the food you're heating up (my old one) or it's shallow and hard to get a grip (the second lid in this set). There's a couple of vent holes on the top. I won't know how well this holds up or if a lot of splatter will fly out. I've only used it a few times but haven't noticed any splashes from the vent holes the two times I've reheated spaghetti.

I had a different cover for years that I never used because it would dip into the food. These are tall enough to not be in your food! Yay!I bought these 2 but only really wanted one. I don't think i will use the green one with all the holes unless I discover it is better for something (maybe soup? )So far I have only been using the one with the handle and I always have the vent on top of it open. It does get steam building up inside the cover but it hasn't been an issue for any of my dishes.I really like the handle. It's easy to lift the cover of the food without burning my hand.Also, the cover with the handle is smooth on the inside so it's very easy to clean up. Manu times I only rinse it in water after use. No scrubbing! So much better than my old one which had a lot of nooks and crannies which required scrubbing.Summary of best features: Tall, handle, and easy to clean!

The covers accomplish their job, I like the fact that they are tall. But they are rather flimsy. Not sure I'll get the years of use out of these. My old one lasted me 10 years. I'm already missing the vent cover off the top.

Good item for microwave splatters. Easy to clean & see through, but not easy to use. The image shows a handle on one of the domes, but I didn't get a handle at all. Hard to grab onto the top finger slot, it's too shallow. Not sure I would buy again, due to pieces missing. :-(

ETA: The white steam vent on the version with the handle comes right off. I just use the cover without it.This is easy to clean. I wish both covers had the handle because it's so much easier for me to pick up with my one working hand. It isn't quite big enough for a dinner plate to fit inside it -- I mean so that the cover goes over the plate touches the microwave tray. It's a great height and doesn't touch the food on your plate. It will balance on the edge of the plate, so it still works. This is a much better cover than the collapsible one I finally threw away.

The fatal flaw in almost all microwave covers is that they don't have a handle. Rather they have something on top you pinch to grip. And this thing you pinch is almost invariably hollow, so as the cover fills up with steam, that hollow thing you pinch gets hot. Often, too hot to handle, which kind of makes it useless.This cover comes in two parts one of which takes an external handle that makes it much easier to pick up once the food gets hot. The other one, a bit larger in diameter has no handle but can be used as a cover to keep food warm or keep insects off it.Actually, if the designers of the competition's one piece (no external handle) units had more than two functioning brain cells, they'd simply mold in a fin or loop on top of the molded plastic cover. Problem solved. Why none of them are doing it boggles the mind.

I ordered this item because of the handle and I wasn't dissappointed. It makes it so much easier to remove it from the dish. My old plastic one was very annoying as it would deflate around the plate and make removal difficult. I also like the order contains 2 covers. Instead of microwave use, I will be using the cover without the handle to cover food items on my counter awaiting consumpsion as the top is a little hard to grasp for microwave use.

The product arrived without a handle. I notified Amazon and they said they would contact the seller and someone would call me. I haven't received any call from the seller and no follow up call from Amazon. It's hard to get out of the microwave without the handle. Also, for microwaves with an additional shelf, it can't hold. With only the turntable the height is fine.
