Good price, work great, and a helpful item to have in first aid kids and emergency bags.
Quality product! Nice packaging with the ampules nicely ordered in the box, as another reviewer pointed out. Super-fast shipping! This item actually arrived first on a Monday out of a bunch of orders I placed on Friday.I had an old first aid kit that was probably over 15 years old, that had these in them. I decided to try it out, and even after that long -- they still packed a pretty good punch, though not quite as strong as these (that one was probably very old and a different brand). So I'm certain these probably have a pretty long shelf life, despite what the expiration date says. It's not as if you eat it or ingest it, so shelf life shouldn't be a problem.I bought 3 packs -- one box for my main first aid kit, a few individual ones for a mini first aid kit, and the other box for an emergency bag. I played around with a few, and they certainly pack a good punch!I would like to order a few more for personal use when I need it.It appears the only danger is inhaling too strongly (just give it a wiff!), and using these to wake and "jolt" somebody who might have head or spine injuries. Other than that, these should work well in many situations; particularly waking up groggy people, sleeping drunks and what not.I would definitely like to get several more boxes in the near future to put in various emergency kits and keep around the house. Probably good for partying, long road trips and to get motivated while working too.Do your own research and know that these are not a toy, but I the dangers seem minimal according to the info I've found. Again, proceed at your own risk -- but I'm still alive and don't think these are particularly dangerous or risky. My only complaint is they shipped these in a somewhat disproportionate Amazon box, and they weren't padded properly. One of them was placed on the bottom of the box and the packaging was slightly crushed -- but the product was safe and there were no problems. Still 5 stars.

Are you gonna pass out? NOT ON DYNAREX'S WATCH
I got these because occasionally...just occasionally...I pass out from chronic pain. Really it's only a couple times a week. I figured that, since I can't afford a fainting couch, I might as well try the next best Victorian era remedy: the smelling salt. And boy, do these things live up to the Victorian hype. It comes in small encased ampoules, 10 to a box. You press on the dot to break the ampoule and release the kraken within. Upon breaking it (I like wrapping it in a tissue to prevent my hands from getting red from the dye used to signify that it has been broken already), you are treated to a heady aroma. Hints of lemon oil and bergamot are...gently...swept away by the unending, brutish assault of pure ammonia. Your nose will feel like someone steeped Earl Grey in cleaning solution and used a ram-rod to jam it into your sinuses. Were you feeling faint? A bit woozy? Unsteady on your feet? Well TOO BAD because Dynarex Ammonia Inhalants aren't having ANY of that. They thunder into your brain like a group of very angry, sleep-deprived construction workers who broke into the company's supply trailer of sledgehammers. They will beat your brain awake until it starts working like an overclocked computer. You'll taste sounds, hear smells, and touch flavors. Time will slow to a crawl as your brain becomes that of a hummingbird. Instead of falling on the ground, you will just start running, breaking through walls like the Kool-Aid man on amphetamines. Unconsciousness? No. Dynarex hates unconsciousness. Dynarex won't allow unconsciousness. Dynarex only wants Dynarexcitement. Also good for weightlifting, I guess.

Great to Help Prevent Fainting
Unfortunately, I have been battling fainting with blood/medical related scenarios for some time. Doctors used the ammonia inhalants on me for years. I was finally able to buy them from my pharmacy many years ago, but it was difficult for them to find, most of the staff had never heard of them, it took a while to order, and the cost was higher. I'm glad I saw these on Amazon...great price at $3.00 and change, delivered timely right to my door. For those that haven't used these, here is what I do: I break a capsule between my fingers, which releases the ammonia smell, and then wave it under my nose. I don't think it is good to keep it under the nose prolonged...at least that is my recollection. Of course, you should get advice from your doctor for advice on proper use and besides, I'm not a doctor...just relaying my use. I have used these enough and have discovered that, on me, the ammonia vapors become less intense the closer I am to passing out, and stronger the more "awake" I am. So, if I just break one open and I'm not feeling whoozy, it smells very strong, but if I'm close to passing out, it is actually much weaker smelling until I'm less whoozy. I've been able to use this on myself sometimes, or my wife has done it for me. I typically have one in my pocket if I'm going somewhere uncomfortable, like getting a blood test, and I like to have them in the house...just in case. I hope Amazon keeps selling them. If you faint, or someone you know faints, from a blood phobia, I highly recommend them.
