I can see the white circle but I can't see it magnify anything at all. Is mine broken or am I missing something?** A: It's probably working fine but you have to realize two things, it's designed for close work so if you have it too far away from whatever you're trying to view you're going to get the out of focus white circle. The second is if you have it close to or on top of whatever you were trying to look at you need to focus with the ring on the bottom. I thought mine was broken for a while until I figured out how to get it to focus. Finally you can also shift the focus when adjusting the magnification ring on top. If you change the magnification you will also need to refocus. As for its function its a really small scope, so steady hands and good eyes(and patients) are required. It takes a little time to focus it but it does allow you to see when your trichs are ready. For the price its worth it but if you can afford a bigger better quality one i would go with that. The built in light works well though.
