The mighty castle pack is a great addition to this game, lots of cards for only 9.99This review is for the game itself not just the mighty castle pack.I have played off and on for almost 3 years. This game is a lot of fun to play, and you can meet some great people.some of the other reviews mentioned the need to buy crowns/tokens. I will say the game is playable without buying any tokens, but it is harder, and much more enjoyable to play as a premium player. This allows more researches and buildings to be done at one time. it also allows you to move buildings and little perks.It goes off your IP so multiple computers in the same household can play the game, but you will not be able to send each other goods/troops etc. you can however usually find a faction member who will send goods for you, so its not actually that hard to do.a warning though, the top players in this game do tend to spend a lot of money on the game and will always have an advantage to an extent, but like anything else money doesn't beat skill.building villages, going to war, joining a faction and house are all great parts of this game, I highly recommend it. give it a try if you don't like it you didn't waste anything because its free to play, and if you are like me you will love it and spend way too much time on it.

First off I've played stronghold games for 10 years, so I'm no noob. I'll make it quite simple, it's a piece of trash, you pay to win and nothing more. Let me put you in perspective for you, in order to train pikemen, build a wheat farm, make a fletcher guild, and build decent stone castle. You have to spend at least 16 full hours on research and resource collecting, not actual building time mind you. The game goes 24/7 so your castle will most likely be attacked while your asleep or on vacation. You can however buy "premium tokens" which will run your castle while your off line.Here is the actual math: If you pay 8 dollars on crowns, that will keep your castle running without you for a month, and you can get two card packs. Now lets do the math: if you play this game for 6 months and you spend 8 dollars per month, you will have payed 48 dollars. If you pay 8 dollars per month, for a year, it will be 96 dollars.That's just for a player who wants to do okay at the game. If you don't, most of your castles will have unrest and be captured by other players. I've just covered "premium tokens", bored yet? It gets better, if you want to get ahead of the lords around you, and you don't like waiting around, and you don't have skill, this is the game for you! You can buy bonuses that include free research points and an instant research. A.K.A "cards". The single thing that ruins the game. Basically you can spend 80 dollars worth of cards, and have the the same castle, rank and soldiers as the free player who has worked on the game for 8 months. These are free troops that you can buy with REAL life money and put in your castle. Cards make the game a terrible experience for new players.If you want to try this game here is the absolute truth: it's very addicting, has terrible graphics, is all about politics, you will waste HOURS of your life, and you pay to win the game. And btw you will never win, they'll always be someone who buys their way to the top and kills you, even if you play non stop for 4 months. There is absolutely no skill when it comes to this game. At all.I played this game for 6 months, And each and every minute I spent on it was a waste of life.If you have no social life, and like people constantly trolling you, and have plenty of money to spend, this is the game for you!

Stronghold Kingdoms is a free MMO strategy game based on the award winning computer game, Stronghold. It allows you to build castles and defend them, create, plan and control villages along with dealing with bandits, AI castles and wolves.Plus, you now have a level of politics that no AI can even come close to simulation. You have players fighting for, working with each other to control parishes, counties, countries and finally tring to be the king of it all. In this game you can not hope to keep control of more than just your local village with out getting help from other players around you, your alliance, your house and balancing act of trust to truce with other alliances and houses.If you are looking for a strategy game that does not cost to play and a new level of politics that will keep you on your toes, then try Stronghold Kingdoms.Note: things do not happen very fast in this game as compared to other games. It is a RTS game but the speed (and working with other players) makes it so you do not have to be on 24/7 or every day to survive.

While I've enjoyed the game, I'm really frustrated about Amazon's bonus offer, which was increased from 5 card packs and a 7 day token to 15 packs and 4 seven day tokens. It makes me feel angry for having signed up a few days too early (just over a week ago). It doesn't look like there's anything you can do about it.As people have already reviewed, to do well in this game you need to use cards, and the extra 10 packs would make a huge difference.The gameplay is addictive but that's not necessarily a good thing if it glues you to the screen. They've geared the game so you 'need' to load it up every 12 hours to get your 'free' card. The strategy is oversimplified but the core of this game is the teamwork. There are a lot of good playable hours in this game, and the Firefly team keeps adding new cards and new functionality to the game.
