The radio has very poor documentation, but performs well
I bought the Baofeng because I needed a second HT to supplement my Kenwood TH6-FA. I am a railroad photographer and need two radios for safety when I am in remote locations. I use the Baofeng to scan the railroad frequencies while I use the Kenwood for ham communications. The large capacity battery allows me to use the Baofeng for extended periods.I have one complaint however. The documentation for the Baofeng is useless. It consists of a list of the function of each button, but provides no, nada, zero instructions about how to program the radio or use the various other functions and capabilities of the radio. The only reason it is usable is because I bought RT Systems programming cable and software for both radios for my iMacs. The RT System software makes programming either radio quick and easy, but when I am out in the field I am unable to change ANY programming because I cannot find any documentation anywhere as to how to do that.The bottom line is that this is a terrific radio for the money provided that you can either figure out how to program it on your own or invest in programing software.

With battery attached, it seems like the radio will tip over easily.
Increases the overall size of the radio - Nice design, EXCEPT:The two small "legs" on the bottom of the battery seem a bit longer than those on the radio itself and seem to tilt the radio slightly forward when standing the radio on a flat surface or in the forward bay of the battery charger (not back against the charging contacts) - it seems the radio is always about to tip over - and I believe the radio will easily tip over if the table it's on is accidently bumped. I'm hesitant to "trim" the feet on the bottom of the battery, as it might not sit correctly in the charger. Overall the Baofeng UV-5R (Mirkit UV-5R MK5 8W 2019) radio and the Baofeng large battery seem well designed, it's just this little "design Bug" that's a bit annoying.

Great Buy
I bought this for my UV-5R+ which I use for a back up work radio. I can use this battery for roughly 10 hrs a day and get two and a half days out of it easily before charging it again.

the product works in fits great. however there is a decent gap between the battery and the radio that looks kind of stupid. definitely worth the money though

Works for what I needed for.
Works best for the farm when we're moving equipment around from the barns. Makes it easier to talk to the workers on the equipment as well.

Big improvement over OE
Installed this onto my radio and now get twice the battery life. Great improvement over original equipment and even greater for survival situations.

Battery is great and the size of it makes the Baofeng HT much easier to use.
