TDK WR700 Wireless Headphones

These headphones ROCK! I love the wireless feature, so simple to use, plug in the receiver, turn it on and the headphones and you're in business. A few notes, it does take two AAA batteries for the transmitter and two AAA batteries for headphones. I just ordered a charger and spare batteries, so I'm not bothered by the fact it needs batteries. The receiver will turn itself off after two minutes if no signal so you don't have to worry about leaving it on. Please note that the receiver, while small, would be clunky on iPod, iPhone, or equal. My use is primarily at my desk with the Mac.Sound Quality--as you know, everyone has opinions and with out some sort of accurate testing equipment it's going to be subjective. My test was to compare against two other headphones. The first was my wife's pair of wired Bose Headphones these were the ~$200 variety, the second was a pair of custom made ear buds that were fitted to my ears with one of the best drivers on the market (~$350), these are used for my motorcycle. So I believe there was some stiff units to compare against. The TDK's were equal in sound quality, including clarity, crispness, bass, and trebble.Fit and Finish--no complaints TDK did it right! While they look a bit like you're ready for takeoff as a pilot, the feel is great I have had them on for the past three hours and no problems, they are light, easily adjustable, and have volume control on the headphones. My one and only con would be you'd never use these while working out with lots of head movement they would slide off but if tighter fit then they wouldn't be comfortable.Receiver Distance/Signal--TDK claims about 10 meters and that's about dead on, pretty cool to walk around the adjacent few rooms and have perfect reception. What's also nice is the inch you it exceed the radius the sound cuts off, no weak signal, just off. The walls appear to have no effect. If you need to be farther way just use an extension cable for the jack.The Seller was located in England not sure why these are hard to find in the US but I got it in about the same time and very well packed.I highly recommend, I'd buy another pair.

You have to be in direct vision with sender or you lose the connection. Bluetooth headphones have a much better quality sound and gives you moving flexibility. You also have the change a lot of AAA batteries.Get a rechargeable Bluetooth headphone instead.

The headphones quit working after a short time, but the reseller refunded the money in a reasonable amount of time. I don't know if the headphones were poorly designed or it was just the one that I ordered was defective.

I love this headset. There is no hum or hiss that you find on a lot of cordless sets. Battery life is better than I expected. It would be nice if this came with a recharging system. Range is not as good as described, but it is adequate.

Works really well. The design is a little clunky so stopped me giving it 5, but functionally it is excellent

The grade would be much higher had not the transmitter quit working after 90 days. It is flimsy and becomes damaged after a small bump. Otherwise it works well. I have had no luck in getting the company to replace the transmitter.

For what seems to be no reason occasionally the sound cuts out. It is not the distance which is adequate, but if the volume is too low the transmitter turns off. I may need to return this item.

I love this set of headphones. Kleer technology is as clear as they say it is. I would recommend to anyone wanting wireless comfort and great clean sound.

TDK WR700 Wireless Headphones  Initially I was very pleased indeed with this product - easy to set up - great sound quality - excellent. But after a few weeks of sporadic use, suddenly the connection of the base unit began to falter - causing no stereo output unless you kept jiggling the jack-plug. Now it only works if you press hard on the jack-plug unit all the time. I have contacted the retailers - but they have not responded.Not a good buy. TDK WR700 Wireless Headphones
